Oats and peanut butter breakfast bar

Easy to prepare, this bars will taste great with the addition of dark chocolate or chopped apricot.

Ingredients

200g oats wholegrain

150g peanut butter or any other nut butter you like

100g honey

50g roughly chopped nuts

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 pinch of salt

½ cup roughly chopped chocolate drops (milk or dark) or chopped dried fruits (cranberries, apricots …)

 

Method

In a bowl, mix oats, nuts and salt.

In a small pot, melt the peanut butter with the honey, mix well and add the vanilla once it has cooled down a little.

Mix together the wet and dry mixtures.

If you want to add chocolate or dried fruits do it now.

In a line oven tray, press down the mixture with wet hands or a wet spoon. Press firmly to flatten evenly.

Place in the fridge for minimum 2h to set.

Take out of the fridge and cut to desired size.

 

Note: Keep in the fridge in an airtight container for 1 week.
