Salad dressing

Easy salad dressing recipes

I like to make my dressing in a jar and always have a simple French vinaigrette ready to use in my pantry. When in season I like to add any fresh herb I have available from the garden (parsley, tarragon, dill) or a mix of herbs. 

Lemon and basil dressing

¼ cup of lemon juice

½ cup of extra virgin olive oil

2 Tbsp of chopped fresh basil

1 garlic clove, minced

Salt and pepper

 

Avocado and lemon dressing

1 ripe avocado

¼ cup of chopped fresh coriander

2 Tbsp of lemon juice

1 garlic clove, minced

¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

Salt and pepper

 

French dressing

1 garlic clove, crushed

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons white or red wine vinegar

6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Salt and pepper

 

Balsamic dressing

6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

Salt and pepper

 

 

Honey mustard dressing

1 Tbsp wholegrain mustard

1 Tbsp Dijon mustard

1 Tbsp runny honey

1 Tbsp lemon juice

4 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Salt and pepper

 

Easy yoghurt dressing

½ cup Greek yoghurt

1 tbsp mayonnaise

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp lemon juice

2 tsp Dijon mustard

1 clove garlic, finely grated or chopped

Salt and pepper

 

Instructions

In a bowl or in a jar, combine all ingredients

Taste and adjust to your preference, adding more salt, pepper

Serve over your favourite salad

Will keep in the fridge for up to 5 days (longer if there is no fresh herb)
