The epitome of cucina povera, this immensely popular snack, which tastes like a mix between a pretzel and a breadstick, is still made with the same ingredients even today, double-cooked for extra crunch. In southern Italy, taralli are a classic pairing alongside an aperitif and add great texture to an antipasti platter. Naturally they’re also a perfect lunchbox treat!
