San Marzano NACA Organic Primitivo Puglia IGP (Italy)

This organic/biodynamic Primitivo was grown by San Marzano, 100 metres above sea level from hillside strewn old vine vineyards in Salento, Puglia. The elevation and diurnal temperatures (cool nights, warm days) bring refined structure, fine chalky tannins and juicy acidity, keeping the generous flavours on point. On the nose there are cherries and plums and spice following through to the palate with plenty of length. The wine has generosity of dark fruits without being too rich and juicy, more on the savoury dry side. This is a quality red at great value.
